Thyme to Turnip the Beet with Sticky Fingers Cooking |
MONDAYS 3:00-4:00 Grades K-5 Let your child release their inner chef! Students will prepare and eat healthy, globally-inspired recipes all while learning to cook in a fun, engaging and real-world way! We will practice measurements, use a wide array of cooking utensils all while preparing the freshest ingredients. Your kids can have a blast every week discovering how easy and fun it is to cook (and gobble-up!) tasty, healthy, American classics and globally-inspired Sticky Fingers Cooking recipes! Irish Dance |
MONDAYS 3:00-4:00 Grades K-4 Have fun with your feet and learn to dance to happy and lively music with your friends! This after school class will teach the basics of Irish Dance technique while learning the primary dances of the jig and the reel. Hip Hop and Tap Dance |
TUESDAYS 3:00-4:00 Grades K-4 (8 classes) Hip-Hop & Jazz Funk class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines elements of hip-hop moves to contemporary music. The combination of jazz and hip-hop is great for beginning and intermediate dancers as they focus on rhythm and coordination. Dancers will learn the necessary elements of jazz, which are critical to success in hip-hop, and also have fun learning isolations, popping and freestyle movement. Chain Reactions Engineering with Afterschool Enrichment |
WEDNESDAYS 3:00-4:00 Chain Reactions – Ready, Set, Roll - See the laws of motion at work in this thrilling, hands-on course. Both new and returning participants are welcome. Students will construct machines, like the Heavyweight Hammer and the Spin-o-Matic, and then combine them to create exciting chain reactions! Each week, the chain reactions will become more complex with the introduction of new machines. The projects will afford students the opportunity to delve into concepts such as force, gravity, velocity, types of energy, and balance. At the end of the session, students will be challenged to create the Ultimate Chain Reaction by working cooperatively to see how many machines they can incorporate. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to learn and build. Each participant will receive an award on the last day of the session and have the opportunity to earn Energy Belts by demonstrating their learned skills!
